The Speakeasy Suite 502 W/Parking

Overall it was good stay. Positive: The best thing I liked about the property was it's location. I travelled for my presentation the McGill University and it was just a few minutes walk from that. So, all three days it was so good that I walked and didn't drive to the University. The other excellent aspect was the available covered parking. I believe in the downtown areas it's not easy to get parking. Although the parking was not in the same building and there was a little walk but still it was a blessing. :) Negative: Overall I am happy for the stay. However, there are couple of things that can be improved. Such as, there was some sort of smell in the entire floor (5th floor) and in the room as well (502). Inside the room the room, kitchen and washroom were clean however i must say that the cleaning was not up to the higher level. the floor had dust etc. One of the Towels were not clean, the bath cabin does not have shampoo and body wash. however, upon my request the owners arranged the replacement of towel immediately and also provided the shampoo and body wash. Thanks to them for their quick response. Last thing is that the elevator did not work the entire two days and nights. I was hoping that such an important thing must be noticed without delay and would be repaired any moment. However, when second day I asked about it the owner said they never knew that it is not working. and still it took another full day to be repaired. I was injured and had to use stairs (which i should say were very dangerous too). Anyhow, the last morning when I had to check out the elevator was working and thank God for that otherwise I was completely unable to move my bags from those truly narrow stairs.
